Shaft type Smelting Furnace
The shaft-type smelting furnace is the only one of its kind in Japan, and the symbol of ferromanganese smelting and refining operations of Mizushima Ferroalloy, materializing high efficiency with coal-based energy. Automatic operation control and sophisticated management system enable Mizushima to produce quality ferromanganese products of wide variety, as well as to reduce production cost.
Features
Bell-less type feeder has been adopted to the furnace top charging system to assure optimum charge distribution, thus accomplishing high manganese yield and heat efficiency. The hot air generator is equipped with a very efficient and maintenance-free heat exchanger. The gas generated in the shaft-type furnace is channeled through gas scrubbing equipment. Operations are computer-controlled with use of various sensors such as shaft gas sampler and thermo-couples.
